Dear Juno, Or Any Other Pregnant Teenager In The Same Situation,
What happened to you was mostly your fault and was easily preventable. You had the resources and could had have bought some condoms or birth control. With a little bit of preparation you could of avoided the terrible situation that you were forced into. You did make the right decision though giving the baby to Vanessa. You couldn't bring yourself to have an abortion but you made the responsible decision and gave the baby to a person more capable and responsible to take care of your baby. So i personally think you made the right decision for your child and for your own life.
Although as a said before you didn't need to be in this situation in the first place. If you are ready to have sex you should also be ready to go down to Planned Parenthood or just by some condoms. You need to have a certain level of maturity to engage in sex. You need to be ready before you do because if your not you might find yourself in another terrible situation that you were just in. I'm 17 years old and I would never have sex without having some sort of protection. I just cant risk having a baby i wouldn't be able to help or support the baby so you are lucky that you found someone that can give your baby a good life.
